There’s lots of buzz about “Agentic AI” but very few decent explanations of what it is or how to use it.

So to clarify:

  1. Agentic AI is not “fancy LLM prompting”.
  2. It’s not ChatGPT with a Zapier connection.
  3. It’s definitely not another SaaS tool shoved into your tech stack.

Agentic AI refers to systems that can decide, act, and iterate without human intervention.

This is the first real shift in marketing execution since paid social went programmatic.

And most teams still aren’t using it.

Traditional marketing tools wait for instructions or “triggers” to cue a fixed behavior.

Agentic systems don’t.

They:

  • Observe inputs

What This Means for Marketing Teams

Agentic AI doesn’t replace creativity.

It replaces:

  • Bottlenecks
  • Approval chains
  • Repetitive judgment calls

The “winning” outcome is:

  1. Less meetings
  2. Less decisions
  3. Less mistakes
  4. Less delays
  5. More output

And most importantly, faster feedback loops.

In two years, they’ll feel necessary to keep up.
