Every website is different, but for Google, the core ranking factors don’t change…
However, there’s a lot of mixed information online about how you should improve your website.
Let’s simplify the ranking process into actionable steps that we’ve used to generate hundreds of millions in revenue for our clients.
Content is the first thing that most people think of when they talk about SEO.
It’s the bread and butter of what good SEO looks like.
Sharing information that’s relevant for your business & searchers.
The challenging part is sharing that information in a way that Google likes/supports.
Here are a few pro tips to evaluate almost any page:
Word Count – 1500+ words is ideal
Text Styling – Text needs to be easy to read, no chunky paragraphs, use white space, incorporate lists (like this one), and break text up with images
Titling – Create titles for every section, titles are the first thing Google will read on your page
Keywords – You don’t need to stuff your page with keywords, just pick 1-2 and use them in the titles
Tone – Most content is meant to be educational, but that doesn’t mean boring; give your writing personality
Links – Links are incredibly important for SEO, every page should reference at least 5 other pages on your site
Citations – If you use info from somewhere, always cite the source by linking the stat to the website you found it from
If you implement all of these on your pages you’ll already be ahead of 99% of websites on the internet.
That could mean a big leap against your competition & a big leap in Google Rankings!

If there are technical limitations holding your website back, they should be addressed ASAP.
Limitations like:
Some of the non-obvious coding extras that can greatly help with SEO are:
A great technical team can make a massive amount of changes in a very short time.
I’ve personally seen websites go from not ranking to the top of Google in weeks just by solving technical issues.
Don’t ignore your tech limitations!
Design is a silent killer in SEO.
Most people don’t think of site design when considering their SEO performance.
In fact, it’s usually thought of as something that could hurt SEO.
The reality is that good-quality site design can make or break an SEO campaign.
Your design should:
Bad site design can cause people to feel unengaged with your site, leaving early and often.
It can also make it difficult for Google to read your pages and navigate.
If Google can’t read or navigate pages, it won’t rank them.
Having pages that are beautiful & easy to interact with leads to people spending more time on your website.
They’ll also visit more pages than they otherwise would on a less attractive design.
Both longer site visits and more page visits/session dramatically improve your chances at a high ranking in Google.
Google isn’t just paying attention to what you talk about, they also care how long people are spending on your site on average.
The longer they stay on your site = The more reputable you are
